What I Have Been Making And Wearing (Up-cycled Shirt to Bracelet)
I had this old cotton long sleeve shirt that was stretched out because I wore it when I was pregnant. It seems easy to stretch out certain ribbed cotton tops. I decided to cut the wrist portion of the arm sleeve off and turn it into a fun funky bracelet.
I made two little rosettes with more material from the old shirt, then added some cabochons, a button, and some metal chain. I used hot glue to attach everything except the chain. The chain I sewed on by hand, in 4 spots for each chain.
You won't attach the chain links, since you need the bracelet to be able to stretch for slipping on and off.
I attached each chain in 4 spots, sewing by hand to secure it onto the fabric.
I also made a ring out of the same old shirt.
A few other things I made, this peacock necklace and earring set. You can find ones similar in my shop.
Well that's what I have been making and wearing.
Sorry I don't have more what I wore pics to share. You see I have been traveling for a friends wedding. I thought I would share that pic again of me trying on my old wedding dress. I realize my arm looks funny in the picture, I was trying to keep the dress up since it's to big for me anymore. I can't wait to share pics from our trip. Maybe the new bride will give me permission to share some from her wedding. We will just have to see.
