A while back I placed an order at My Crochet Shop. When my order arrived there was a cute little crocheted heart used in the wrapping. I held onto the heart because I knew I could use it for something. I ended up turning it into a sweet ring that would be perfect for an affordable Valentine's Day gift. The owner of My Crochet Shop on Etsy also has a wonderful blog. If you would like to make yourself an interchangeable heart ring, first check out her crochet heart pattern here.
These would make great favors at a girly Valentine party since you could use them as the napkin holders.
Here is what you need for an Interchangeable Heart ring:
1 small crocheted heart (or small flower would be cute too!)
pearl beads (1 large and several small ones)
Clear Stretch Jewelry Rope
The thing I am most excited about is that the heart simply stretches on over the large pearl bead ring, so you could make several different colored hearts, and mix and match to your hearts desire.
You could even wear the pearl ring alone, but I prefer it with the heart. It would also look super cute with a crocheted flower. After you have your heart crocheted (see link for pattern above), all you need to do is make a pearl ring to fit your finger, using the pearl beads and stretchy jewelry rope. Remember to place the large pearl bead in the center because it will be what you use to hold the heart on.
I am hoping to find the time to make several small hearts and flowers, in several different colors, for this fun interchangeable ring.
So that's one of the things that I have been wearing. Let's see what else I have been putting on.
Not the most figure flattering outfit I have, but the bold animal printed sun dress from Walmart and bright cardi from Old Navy were fun to wear together. The pretty bib necklace I won from The Tootsie Wootsie. My heart ring would have looked cute with this outfit but I am actually wearing my lemon dessert ring from my shop.
Find ring here for $7.99.
So that's some of what I have been making and wearing. What have you been up to?
