DIY Scrabble Tile Holiday Earrings and Jewelry Bail Tip

I am really excited about these Scrabble tile holiday earrings. They are one of a kind, and handmade. Instead of gluing jewelry bails on the back side, I used Tibetan silver "made with love" charms. If you would like to purchase these earrings, they are in my shop here
If you are feeling crafty, here is how you can make a similar pair for yourself or someone you love.

Tip: Use flat charms instead of jewelry bails to make earrings! These now come with a sweet "made with love" message.

Materials Needed:

2 Scrabble Tiles
2 "made with love" charms or Jewelry Bails
Earring Hook Findings
Jewelry Glue (E-6000)
Glossy Accents Gel (a glossy medium/resin)
Two Small Holiday Stickers

Stick your holiday stickers to the smooth back side of your tile. Cover image with your Glossy Accents gel, and scrape any bubbles off with a needle.  Let dry, away from dust, preferably covered.  Once dry, glue your bails or flat charm to the other side of your tiles. Let dry over night. Using needle nose jewelry pliers, attach your hook earring findings to the loop of your bail or charm.

  1. Those are adorable! I never thought of using the charms to back the earrings- good call! :)
