Pumpkin Decorating Ideas & Tutorial Guest Post From Pams Party and Practical Tips

Hi. I am Pam from Pams Party and Practical Tips and  I have been a long time follower of Mindie's.  When she asked for guest posters, I told her I would be more than happy to share some new members of my Pumpkin Gang.

Last year the gang included FrankenpumpkinMummyWitchipooVampire, and Black Cat

So far this year, three new members have joined the gang.  The sweet Owl, and the two members I am about to introduce you to.

Meet Vampire Bat and Mr. Spider

I started with dollar store pumpkins that I painted black.

I found an extra long chenille stem from Michaels, and cut it into 8 equal size pieces to make the spider legs.  Using my hot glue gun I  placed them around the body.  I found it was easiest to glue the leg to the pumpkin body and then bend it into place.

Once I got the legs placed where I wanted them, I added google eyes and a felt mouth.  This spider is definitely more sweet than scary.

The Vampire Bat started with a similar face.

I used white craft foam for the fangs, and black craft foam for the wings and ears.  I am not sure if bats have pointed or round ears, but he looks like he could fly away at any moment.

I hope you enjoyed meeting the members of the pumpkin gang.  I have a some ideas for more pumpkins,  so look for a few new members to the pumpkin gang  in the upcoming weeks.

Thank you so much for having me on your blog Mindie!

Thank you Pam for sharing your cute family of pumpkins! If you would like to guest post on Bacon Time too, please email me at mindiehilton@gmail.com

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.
